Our Eco Commitment

At Swasti Eco Cottages we try as much as possible and within appropriate means, to respect the environment:

• We, first of all, do not use any chemical products for the daily room cleaning and laundry. We use a natural soap (known as ‘soap nuts’). These nuts grow on a tree that is found locally and all around Indonesia. The nuts are mixed with essential oils and perfumed. This soap 100% natural organic and anti bacteria.
• We recycle as much as possible, all our solid wastes (plastic, paper, glass...) via a local partner company called ECO BALI (you will find Eco Bali bins in each room). For your information, solid waste management is a serous and critical issue that should be addressed by all tourism actors (hotel, restaurants, and tour operators) and education will be key in solving this issue. We feel each and every guest can make a positive impact by being aware of the issue and acting accordingly.

• This is why we offer you a fully recyclable strong, handy and trendy cotton bag. We invite you to use it during your stay when going in town for food and artifact shopping. Please, as much as possible; refuse all plastic bags given by vendors. Each small gesture will help to reduce the overall environmental burden faced by this beautiful island.
• We graciously offer you small samples of toiletry products that are 100% natural and made locally.
• At reception and at the restaurant, there are fresh water fountains at your disposal. We invite you to refill your water bottles there instead of purchasing more bottled water in town. The fountains contain the same water as the bottles but are simply refilled.
• Our gardener every day pampers our beautiful garden with love and flowers.
